Vuskovic shares three-year roadmap as Tottenham absence raises questions

Reports suggest Tottenham are weighing up the idea of securing Luka Vuskovic on a new long-term deal as his reputation continues to rise.

That interest is understandable, with several European heavyweights tracking the highly rated youngster, who has now spoken openly about his future.

The Spurs defender has already confirmed he will not return to north London in January, opting instead to see out his loan spell with Hamburg. The 18-year-old has since shared his thoughts on next season in interviews with the German press.

While stopping short of making any firm commitments, Vuskovic admitted he would be delighted to remain at HSV for longer. Speaking to Hamburger Abendblatt via Sport Witness, he explained that although his dream is to finish his career at boyhood club Hajduk Split, he would love the opportunity to continue his journey in Hamburg.

Vuskovic also expressed how meaningful an extended stay would be, describing the chance to play for HSV for several more years as a dream scenario.

Meanwhile, the teenager’s impressive performances have placed him among the standout centre-backs in the Bundesliga this season, suggesting he may be ready to take the next step in his career. Fabrizio Romano has reported that Tottenham are closely following his progress and are extremely pleased with his development.

Everything points toward Vuskovic being in contention for a first-team role at Spurs next season. However, with Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven firmly established, Tottenham could opt to send the Croatian out on loan to another Premier League side to continue his growth.
