Anfield Faithful React as Mo Salah Returns to Action for Liverpool Following Explosive Interview

 

 

Mohamed Salah was met with a notable response from the Anfield crowd on Saturday afternoon when he was brought on in the first half of Liverpool’s Premier League encounter with Brighton, replacing the injured Joe Gomez.

 

The substitution came after a turbulent few days for the Egyptian, who had been omitted from Liverpool’s squad for the Champions League tie against Inter Milan, shortly after delivering a candid interview about his situation at the club.

 

Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer of all time, with 250 goals, Salah had accused the club of “throwing him under the bus” following a third straight spell on the bench during the draw with Leeds under Arne Slot. He also suggested his relationship with the head coach had deteriorated.
