Mo Salah ‘furious’ with Liverpool colleague as report exposes ‘dressing room enemy’.

 

 

A stunning report has claimed that Mohamed Salah is now seen as an “enemy in the dressing room” and is furious with a Liverpool teammate.

 

Salah was benched for three consecutive matches before giving a dramatic post-match interview following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Leeds United last Saturday. He was then left out entirely for the clash with Inter Milan, which Liverpool won 1-0 on Tuesday. After the match, Jamie Carragher publicly apologised for branding him a “disgrace” on Monday Night Football.

 

It’s still unclear whether the 33-year-old will be brought back into the squad for Saturday’s Premier League game against Brighton — which will be his final chance to feature before leaving for the Africa Cup of Nations.

 

Ahead of Liverpool’s Anfield showdown with Brighton, a German report has painted Salah as the “enemy within the squad.” According to BILD, the Egyptian forward is “angry” with Florian Wirtz, who is reportedly pushing the team in a new direction that excludes Salah, causing major frustration.

 

Wirtz started against West Ham, Sunderland and Leeds but was dropped versus Inter, although he came off the bench to win the penalty converted by Dominik Szoboszlai.

 

BILD also urged Liverpool to sell Salah “immediately,” suggesting Manchester United could make a move when the January transfer window opens. The report further criticises Arne Slot, accusing him of building a “dysfunctional system” despite a £446.5 million summer overhaul that included Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

 

Salah’s repeated omission has been described as part of an “open power struggle,” with the report claiming Slot may be using the situation to distract from Liverpool’s poor form. Despite winning the Premier League in his first season, Slot is now under intense scrutiny after nine defeats in the last 16 matches across all competitions.
