Exclusive: Liverpool strike personal terms with £65m talent and mirror Man City’s offer in major bid to hijack the deal

 

 

Liverpool have reportedly agreed personal terms with Antoine Semenyo and have also matched Manchester City’s proposal for the Bournemouth attacker.

 

Exclusive information shared with CaughtOffside indicates that Liverpool have struck an agreement with Semenyo ahead of a potential January switch. The Ghanaian forward must now choose between joining the Reds or heading to the Etihad. Although he had already settled terms with Manchester City, Liverpool have now mirrored that offer, leaving his final decision purely down to preference.

 

Semenyo appears increasingly likely to leave Bournemouth, with both clubs pushing forward. However, any deal still hinges on his £65m release clause being triggered. Sources confirm that Semenyo can be signed for £65m, but that clause expires before January 10th — after that point, it is no longer valid for the remainder of the window.

 

Bournemouth also have a second clause worth £5m less, though it only becomes active in the summer.

 

This creates a tight deadline for Liverpool and City, both of whom are attempting to wrap up as much groundwork as possible before the window officially opens.
