Liverpool Ready to Table £38m Bid for ‘Incredible’ Champions League Defender to Back Arne Slot

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Galatasaray defender Wilfried Singo ahead of the January transfer window, according to French sources.
The Premier League title holders are said to be preparing an opening bid of around €28m (£24m), with a further €10–15m (£9–13m) in potential add-ons for the highly adaptable Ivory Coast international.
The Reds are understood to be pushing for a deal once the window opens, though they may have to fend off interest from several major European clubs also monitoring the 24-year-old.
Singo only arrived at Galatasaray from Monaco in August and is tied to the Turkish champions until 2030.
Liverpool Targeting Defensive Reinforcements
Foot-Sur7 reports that Liverpool want to strengthen Arne Slot’s back line in January. The team has struggled this season at both ends of the pitch, picking up just seven wins from their 15 league games and only two victories in their last ten.
Liverpool have already held early discussions about a possible Singo transfer, but it’s unclear whether their initial proposal will satisfy Galatasaray.
The defender joined the Istanbul club over the summer in a €30m (£26m) move from Monaco. He has featured 10 times but is currently sidelined with a hamstring problem, though he is expected to return before the year ends.
Known for his outstanding athleticism, Singo is capable of playing across the back four despite being primarily a right-back. During his two years at Monaco, he made 60 appearances, including six in the Champions League.
Konate’s Future in Doubt
Liverpool may also need to prepare for life without Ibrahima Konate, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Although the club have offered him new terms, several European teams are reportedly interested.
Real Madrid are not among them, having told Liverpool they will not be pursuing the 26-year-old next year.
Konate has started all 21 of Liverpool’s matches in all competitions so far this season, scoring once in the Champions League.
