Salah’s agent’s four-word message about Arne Slot resurfaces — and it hits harder amid Liverpool’s latest shocker.

 

 

Ramy Abbas Issa has traditionally held a positive view of Arne Slot, especially after the Liverpool manager’s impressive Premier League title win last season.

 

But now, one can only imagine what Salah’s agent must be thinking as he watches his client effectively toss a live grenade into the dressing room with those explosive post-Leeds remarks.

 

Salah openly mentioned “broken promises” and a fractured relationship with Slot. It wouldn’t be surprising if Abbas Issa’s stance has shifted, particularly with Liverpool’s difficult 2025/26 campaign and Salah feeling unfairly treated over recent selection choices.

 

Still, it was only earlier this year that Abbas Issa posted a rare message on X, praising Slot as “excellent at his job” during the club’s run to their 20th league title.

 

There’s a chance Salah chose to speak out after being benched in three straight Premier League games—but it seems highly unlikely that such advice came from his agent, who publicly backed Slot less than a year ago.

 

More realistically, those fiery comments came straight from Salah himself. The winger has always been emotional and expressive, proudly wearing his feelings alongside the Liverpool crest.

 

And while Salah has every reason to be frustrated with his lack of starts, history shows that clashes between star players and managers at Liverpool rarely favour the player. The club has long operated on the principle that managerial authority comes first.

 

As Paul Joyce of The Times noted, Fenway Sports Group remains firmly behind Slot, hoping he navigates his challenging second season. Their patience isn’t endless, but it will be results—not Salah’s frustration—that determine the manager’s fate.

 

Given all that, there are now only two possible roads ahead:

either Salah plays his way back into the team…

or he and his camp push for a move.
