Richard Keys Unveils Shocking Liverpool Twist Right After Salah’s Explosive Interview

 

 

 

Richard Keys has sparked major controversy after Mo Salah’s explosive post-match interview about his situation following Liverpool’s chaotic 3-3 draw with Leeds.

 

Liverpool had been 2-0 up at Elland Road but threw away vital points again, with Ao Tanaka netting a 96th-minute equaliser that heaped even more pressure on Arne Slot.

 

But the drama didn’t end there. Salah escalated matters with a blistering interview in the mixed zone. After being left on the bench for the third straight game, the Liverpool superstar did not hold back. He admitted he was deeply frustrated, claimed he had been “thrown under the bus”, and insisted “it’s obvious someone wanted all the blame on me.”

 

Salah also revealed his relationship with Slot has deteriorated and fired back at criticism from Jamie Carragher in what many have called his most shocking interview to date.

 

Despite signing a new deal recently, Salah hinted he could consider leaving after the Africa Cup of Nations with Egypt.

 

Following Salah’s bombshell, former Sky Sports presenter Richard Keys took to X to suggest that Salah isn’t the only one falling out with Slot. According to him, another “very senior” player in the squad also wants nothing to do with the manager.

 

Keys even revived rumours that Steven Gerrard could be lined up as an interim replacement for Slot.

 

“It was only a matter of time before Salah spoke out,” Keys wrote. “He has no relationship with Slot. And another extremely senior squad member feels the same. Very senior. I told you recently — bring in Stevie G.”

 

Although reports claim Liverpool still support Slot despite their poor form following a £450 million summer outlay, Keys believes the board ultimately want PSG boss Luis Enrique. Since luring him away seems unlikely, he theorises that Gerrard’s decision to reject a Rangers return may be linked to a potential temporary role at Anfield.

 

Keys compared the situation to when Kenny Dalglish was installed short-term before Brendan Rodgers.

 

“Did Gerrard know this was unfolding when he turned down Rangers?” Keys asked.

“Long-term they want Luis Enrique — but PSG won’t let him go now. If so, they’ll need a caretaker.”

 

Liverpool will be back in action on Tuesday against Inter Milan in the Champions League before hosting Brighton on 13 December — Salah’s final match before he heads to AFCON.
