Saudi clubs are now confident they can secure Liverpool star Mohamed Salah for a cut-price deal in the January transfer window.

 

 

 

Saudi Pro League sides reportedly believe they can finally land Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah for a much lower fee when the January transfer window opens.

 

The Egyptian forward has struggled for form recently, and Arne Slot has even left him on the bench for the last two matches against West Ham and Sunderland. This dip, combined with his frustration over reduced game time, has boosted Saudi confidence that Salah might now be attainable at a discount, according to iNews.

 

“Key figures at the PIF and across the Pro League feel the leverage has shifted in their favour,” the report states. “Mo’s form, his unhappiness about not starting, Liverpool needing to shake things up, and the club having too many forwards all push him closer to a move to the Middle East.”

 

The report also claims that Salah was previously close to accepting a Saudi offer before ultimately signing a new deal at Anfield late last season.

 

A true Liverpool icon, Salah has scored 250 goals since arriving in 2017, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, and several major honours. But even legends decline, and his performances this season suggest he’s no longer at his peak.

 

With just five goals in 19 appearances, Liverpool may soon have to consider cashing in and bringing in a fresher, more dynamic attacker for the next few years.
