“Total disaster” – Spurs fans slam the starter they say “should be on You’ve Been Framed.”

Tottenham fans were left stunned as their team fell to a 2-1 defeat against Fulham in North London.

Fresh off a surprise win over Sunderland, Marco Silva’s men came out flying, while Spurs were still reeling from their recent loss to PSG. Fulham struck first when Kenny Tete — who nearly moved to Everton in the summer — smashed in a back-post finish on Saturday, 29 November.

Things quickly deteriorated for Spurs as Harry Wilson made it 2-0, capitalizing on a disastrous decision from Guglielmo Vicario. The goalkeeper charged far out of his box and attempted a risky clearance, only for Wilson to curl the loose ball straight into the net.

Vicario, who had already come under heavy criticism after the defeat to Manchester United earlier in the month, found himself at the centre of scrutiny again. Supporters were furious, with one calling him an “absolute shambles” and another joking that he “belongs on You’ve Been Framed!”

Mohammed Kudus struck back in the second half, but after a chaotic opening six minutes, the damage was already done.

Tottenham also set an unwanted record. According to Squawka, conceding twice in just five minutes and 43 seconds is the fastest they’ve ever shipped two goals in a home Premier League match — another blow for Thomas Frank, who is already under serious pressure.

Spurs sit 10th in the table following the defeat, and with matches against Newcastle and Brentford ahead, they’ll need to find points quickly to calm their frustrated fanbase.
