Tottenham fans are finally seeing the Randal Kolo Muani they hoped for, and with his loan set to end this season, discussions about a permanent move are already gaining momentum.

Kolo Muani announced himself in style with two goals and an assist in Spurs’ 5-3 loss to Paris Saint-Germain. It was a long-awaited breakout, as he’d gone his first nine games without scoring—though he did register an assist during that spell.

Thomas Frank will be hoping this sparks a consistent run of goals, with Kolo Muani aiming to cement himself as Spurs’ main striker and challenge Dominic Solanke once he returns from injury.

He added that Spurs believe he can become one of the Premier League’s top finishers and that this could develop into a long-term deal if things go well.

If he stays fit and firing, Spurs won’t need to sign a striker in January and can instead focus on bringing in a winger as planned. A Solanke–Kolo Muani partnership could set them up well, provided both are consistently available.

The hurdles Spurs must overcome
While Tottenham clearly see big potential in Kolo Muani, securing him permanently won’t be easy. With no buy clause, PSG hold the upper hand and can demand a significant fee—especially since the Frenchman is contracted until 2028.

Spurs may also face competition from other clubs if he continues to impress this season and becomes a sought-after option in the summer window.
