“Liverpool fans outraged as Jamie Carragher delivers harsh personal criticism of Mohamed Salah”

Liverpool icon Jamie Carragher has sparked fresh controversy after launching another pointed and personal criticism of Mohamed Salah’s behaviour.

Carragher accused the Egyptian forward of disappearing from media duties during difficult periods and only speaking publicly when it benefits him.

Carragher calls out Salah for lack of leadership during Liverpool slump
The outspoken Sky Sports analyst made his remarks in response to Liverpool’s recent dip in form, implying that Salah — one of the team’s most experienced figures — has not shown enough leadership off the pitch.

On Monday Night Football, Carragher said:

“Once again, Virgil van Dijk came out after the game and spoke as a captain should, calling Liverpool a mess.

“But after all these defeats, it’s always Van Dijk fronting up. Yes, he’s the captain, but other senior players should also be stepping forward to represent the club.

“A year ago, Mo Salah didn’t hesitate to speak publicly when it was about his contract situation.

“I only really hear from Salah when he’s won man of the match or when negotiations are involved.

“He’s one of the club’s legends — I’d like to see him act like a leader and speak up for the team. It shouldn’t fall only on the captain.”

Carragher’s repeated criticism of Salah
This latest attack continues Carragher’s long-standing pattern of singling out Salah. During last season’s contract saga, Carragher publicly criticised the Egyptian for comments he made about his future.

He later did the same when Salah posted a cryptic message on social media regarding the negotiations. Salah responded by accusing Carragher of being “obsessed” with him — a claim some fans believe holds weight as Carragher continues to take aim at the forward.

Supporters push back, accuse Carragher of bias
Liverpool fans quickly hit back at Carragher’s newest comments, accusing him of targeting the club’s all-time top Premier League scorer unfairly.

Many supporters highlighted that Salah has spoken up during difficult moments in the past and regularly backs it up with performances on the pitch. They also recalled instances where he defended former teammates and even called out fans when necessary.
