Antoine Semenyo’s strong start to the season with Bournemouth has sparked a surge of rumours linking him with a move to Liverpool.
The Ghanaian winger has already netted six Premier League goals and registered three assists for the Cherries, fueling speculation that he could soon step up to a bigger stage. While fans were recently advised to dismiss January transfer talk, with a summer move appearing more likely, chatter persists that Liverpool could try to swoop in during the winter window.
Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, widely regarded as one of the most reliable sources in football, has provided an update amid the ongoing Semenyo rumours. Since joining Bournemouth in January 2023, the 25-year-old has steadily developed, impressing with his pace, intelligence on the ball, and clinical finishing. Some Liverpool fans have even drawn early-season comparisons to Sadio Mane—though perhaps slightly exaggerated—highlighting the club’s evident interest.
Romano, responding to questions on social media platform Threads, confirmed: “They [Liverpool] are following Semenyo’s progress closely, that’s for sure.” While he stopped short of suggesting a bid is imminent, his comments confirm the winger remains on Anfield’s radar.
Despite growing excitement among supporters who see Semenyo as a potential solution to Liverpool’s current challenges, caution remains warranted. While the Ghanaian offers flair and variety, the cost of signing him may not justify the impact.
