A fresh bid for Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo this January could be on the cards, according to Sky Sports. Premier League heavyweights Liverpool, Manchester City, and Tottenham are all reportedly monitoring the Ghana international following his impressive performances this season.
Manchester United were also reportedly interested in Semenyo during the summer, before he committed to a new contract with Bournemouth. Sources suggest that Man Utd’s interest has not waned, meaning they could re-enter the race in January. At 25, Semenyo appears poised to have multiple top-flight options.
On the pitch, Semenyo has demonstrated all the qualities needed to step up to a top club. This season, he has contributed six goals and three assists in the Premier League—only trailing Man City’s Erling Haaland in goal involvement. Equally adept at scoring, creating chances, taking on defenders, and striking with either foot, the forward looks like a perfect fit for Liverpool, who are currently struggling in attack.
The Reds’ summer signings, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, have yet to make an impact, while Mohamed Salah’s form has dipped, making Semenyo a potential solution to revive their front line.
