Alan Shearer has dismissed Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League after their poor recent performances, saying the team won’t achieve anything this season unless they drastically step up.
Speaking to Betfair, he said: “If Liverpool keep playing the way they did against Manchester City, they won’t win a thing.
“They’ll be knocked out of any competition they’re still in.
“They still have the FA Cup and the Champions League, but after losing five league matches already, I think the Premier League title is gone for them.
“I can’t see them being contenders anymore… their title challenge is over.”
