Liverpool are reportedly monitoring one of the Premier League’s brightest rising stars, only a few months after the player sealed a record-breaking transfer.
The club were extremely active in the most recent transfer window, spending a staggering £446 million to bring in Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Giovanni Leoni, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerke and Alexander Isak. That total is the highest amount ever spent by a Premier League team in a single transfer window, surpassing Chelsea’s £434.5 million outlay in the summer of 2023.
Even after significantly strengthening their attacking options, Liverpool are said to be closely following Fulham winger Kevin. Chief scout Barry Hunter watched his first Premier League start in person on Saturday as Fulham beat Wolves 3–0.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool’s scouting department has been highly impressed by Kevin’s performances during his first season at Craven Cottage, especially his dribbling, ball-carrying ability, and versatility on both wings.
Kevin signed for Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk on deadline day for £34.6 million and stood out against Wolves by completing the most successful take-ons and registering the most touches inside the box.
Speaking after the game, manager Marco Silva praised the 22-year-old but challenged him to improve his decision-making in attacking areas.
“He understands how he can influence the match,” Silva said. “After beating defenders, he needs to deliver an end product.”
Silva continued by saying it is now up to the coaching staff to keep giving him opportunities. He is clearly a fan of the Brazilian winger, who impressed last month when he came off the bench in a 1–0 win over Leeds.
“Kevin changed the way we played,” Silva said at the time. “He was a key target for that position, and we are delighted to have him. He’s young, but he already has Champions League and Europa League experience, which gives him maturity.”
Silva added that Kevin only needs time to settle in after arriving late in the window: “He still has to find a house and adapt to the Premier League and his teammates. But he will definitely bring something different to our team.”
