Liverpool boss Arne Slot is not under threat despite the club’s worrying dip in form, according to trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Slot, who delivered a Premier League title in his debut campaign, has endured a rough start to his second season. However, Romano reports via his YouTube channel that Liverpool’s hierarchy are firmly standing by their manager and are not exploring alternatives.
The Reds have suffered six defeats in their last seven matches across all competitions, but Slot is expected to be given time to steady the ship. Romano stressed that there is “nothing to report” regarding a possible change, as the club remain fully supportive of the Dutchman.
> “Liverpool maintain their trust in Arne Slot,” Romano said, explaining that those within the club — from the owners and directors to the players — still believe Slot is the right person to turn things around. There is confidence that the season can still be rescued, and no discussions are taking place over replacements.
While Liverpool acknowledge the need to improve results, Romano emphasised that no backup plan has been triggered, with the situation currently viewed as “under control”.
Slot, who succeeded beloved former manager Jurgen Klopp last summer, impressed many by winning the league and reaching the Carabao Cup final in his debut season — achievements that have earned him patience and backing during this rough spell.
