Liverpool boss Arne Slot opens up on conversations with club hierarchy about his future

Liverpool boss Arne Slot has addressed questions surrounding his future and insists he still feels fully supported by the club’s ownership and board. The Reds are enduring a dreadful spell, losing six of their last seven matches across all competitions.

Even prior to this slump, Liverpool had been leaking goals, while some summer signings — including Florian Wirtz — have struggled to make an impact.

Despite the recent setbacks, Slot says he remains in regular communication with the club’s leadership and that their trust in him hasn’t changed.

Slot confident he still has Liverpool’s full backing
At yesterday’s press conference, referenced by journalist Fabrizio Romano, Slot remained calm about his position.

> “They tell me the same things as last year,” he said. “Most of my conversations are with Richard Hughes, and occasionally with others. They see things the same way I do.”

After winning the Premier League title in his debut season, Slot has earned credit and patience, even if this campaign has presented far more difficulties.

Liverpool now face Aston Villa in the Premier League tonight, before a huge Champions League clash with Real Madrid on Tuesday.

These fixtures won’t be straightforward, but wins could help restore confidence and put the team back on track.
