Liverpool’s chances of signing Antoine Semenyo have increased following the latest update on Michael Olise.

Liverpool Dealt Blow in Michael Olise Transfer Pursuit

Bayern Munich are increasingly confident that Liverpool won’t be able to land Michael Olise next summer.

The Reds, along with Manchester City, have been tracking the French winger after a brilliant debut season in Germany — where he produced an incredible 35 goal contributions in 50 appearances across all competitions.

According to Christian Falk of BILD, Bayern are now preparing to reward Olise with an improved contract.

> “It’s true — Liverpool and Manchester City’s hopes of signing Michael Olise have taken a big hit,” Falk confirmed. “Bayern’s sporting director, Max Eberl, has now officially stated that Olise doesn’t have a release clause in his contract. That was a clear message to Premier League clubs: he’s not for sale.”

The Bundesliga giants are eager to tie down the 23-year-old, whose current deal runs until 2029. Despite his impressive impact, Olise earns around £11.6 million a year, well below Bayern’s top earners like Harry Kane and Joshua Kimmich — another reason the club is keen to offer him a raise.

Interestingly, Olise is said to be a quiet personality in the media but a key figure in the dressing room — constantly motivating teammates in group chats.

🔄 Liverpool’s Alternatives: Semenyo in the Frame

With Bayern unlikely to let Olise leave, Liverpool could turn their focus to Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth as a potential long-term successor to Mo Salah.

Reports suggest the Reds are monitoring the Ghanaian forward closely, leveraging their strong ties with former Bournemouth sporting director Richard Hughes, who already helped secure Milos Kerkez earlier this year.

Statistically, Olise remains the standout Salah replacement, posting elite creative and attacking numbers. But with defensive reinforcements also needed, Liverpool may opt for the more affordable and Premier League-proven Semenyo instead.
