Eden Hazard Claims Chelsea Sensation Is a Superior Dribbler to Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak

Eden Hazard, widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s greatest dribblers, recently shared his thoughts on today’s top attackers — and his choices might surprise some fans. The Chelsea legend played a “winner-stays-on” game and notably left out Liverpool stars Mohamed Salah and Alexander Isak.

During his playing days, whenever Hazard had the ball, defenders knew trouble was coming. His dazzling footwork and effortless runs made him nearly impossible to stop, and his legacy at Stamford Bridge — 110 goals and 98 assists in 352 appearances — cements him as one of Chelsea’s most entertaining players ever.

In the modern Premier League, several forwards such as Salah and Isak are celebrated for their dribbling prowess. Yet Hazard rates another English talent higher than either of them.

Speaking with the Premier League’s media team, the Belgian was asked to pick between several current dribblers. When offered Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma and Tottenham’s Mohammed Kudus, he sided with Kudus. He later chose Arsenal’s Eberechi Eze over both Kudus and Jack Grealish, adding that Eze also tops Manchester City’s Phil Foden as a dribbler.

However, Hazard eventually picked Chelsea’s Cole Palmer above all of them — even over Salah and Isak — praising the young star who has been a revelation at Stamford Bridge and reminding fans of Hazard’s own playing style.

Hazard and Salah briefly shared a dressing room at Chelsea before the Egyptian’s 2016 exit. Reflecting on that period, Hazard once said: “He had quality, but at that time we had me, Willian, Oscar — it wasn’t easy for him. But he’s a top player, and we all knew the quality he had.”

Meanwhile, Isak has drawn comparisons to Thierry Henry for his pace, movement, and composure in front of goal — qualities that mirror Hazard’s graceful style on the pitch. As former Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo noted, “Palmer reminds me a bit of Eden Hazard with the way he glides across the pitch and finds pockets of space. If he can have the same impact Eden had for Chelsea, he’ll have an incredible career.”
