Agent on the move: Liverpool ‘eager to move fast’ to finalise key contract deal at Anfield

Liverpool are reportedly set to move swiftly to secure a contract extension for one of their most important figures at Anfield — manager Arne Slot. 🔴

A number of key players, including Ibrahima Konaté and Andy Robertson, are nearing the final months of their current deals, while Slot’s own three-year contract — signed in June 2024 — is already approaching its halfway point after an outstanding debut season that delivered the Premier League title.

According to Mail Sport’s Liverpool Confidential, journalist Lewis Steele revealed in a Q&A that the club has already placed a new deal for Slot high on their priority list. Talks are reportedly being handled by his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, with Liverpool determined to avoid a scenario where the Dutch coach enters his final contracted year. Steele also mentioned that Slot appeared enthusiastic about staying when asked earlier this year.

Although recent results haven’t gone Liverpool’s way, Slot’s position remains rock-solid given his achievements and the stability he’s brought since replacing Jürgen Klopp. With contract extensions for Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold already completed, the next focus will be on renewing deals for Konaté, Robertson, and most crucially, Slot himself.

From all indications, both the club and the coach are eager to continue their partnership, and Liverpool are expected to finalise an agreement that will keep Slot at Anfield well beyond 2027. A formal announcement could arrive sooner rather than later. ✨
