Liverpool are reportedly preparing to launch a major move for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.
Salah, who was outstanding last season in helping the Reds to the Premier League title, has endured a slow start to the current campaign. At 33, the Egyptian superstar may be showing signs of decline, prompting Liverpool to begin planning for the future.
According to Fichajes, the Merseysiders view Bayern and France international Olise as an ideal long-term replacement. The 23-year-old has impressed since joining Bayern from Crystal Palace, where he first made his name as one of the Premier League’s brightest young talents.
While Salah’s legacy at Anfield is unmatched, Olise possesses a similar profile — a left-footed winger who thrives on cutting inside from the right to score and create goals. His continued rise in Germany suggests he could develop into a top-tier attacker capable of filling part of the void Salah would leave.
Liverpool’s frontline has struggled to find rhythm this season amid major squad changes under Arne Slot. The arrivals of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Hugo Ekitike, along with the departures of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, have disrupted the team’s attacking flow. Salah himself has looked below his best, and it remains uncertain whether another major reshuffle would help or hinder the side.
