Hugo Ekitike’s sending off sparked widespread criticism from pundits and left several of his teammates stunned.

After two assists and a tireless display in midweek, many believe Chiesa deserves to start against Crystal Palace. However, with Cody Gakpo and Mohamed Salah firmly established as Liverpool’s preferred wingers, he will likely have to settle for a role off the bench.
Even so, Chiesa could be a crucial impact substitute, especially against a Palace side that has been tough to break down under Oliver Glasner.
